1902 The Spirit Room is located in the Copper Queen Hotel & has been open since 1902. It has had many names from the Winchester, Copper Queen Cafe, Angela's Restaurant. The name was changed in 2017 & in March 2017, the restaurant & kitchen were completely gutted. The restaurant & kitchen were upgraded & renovated to restore its history & decor. The menu was also redesigned w/its Full-Service, High-End Dining.
DELICIOUS DINING AND BREAKFAST! We were staying in town and wanted to try the Spirit Room for Dinner. The bar is a friendly, fun hang out next to the Dining Room to start. Once seated in the dining room, we were offered a delightful Menu with great options! My husband opted for the Liver and Onions and I opted for the Fresh Grilled Salmon. The Liver was served with a beautiful presentation, however, it was very small in portion size...only one veal medallion...but the potatoes and veggies were superb as was the flavor of the liver! My salmon was a huge piece, perfectly grilled to perfection and melted in your mouth! Again, the presentation was very eloquent...you wanted to take a picture! Our server Lucy was friendly and had a great smile. Our only comment was that the dining room seemed rather barren...they could use some beautiful, large photos of the area that is rich in history, color and art. Lovely dinner and great wine selections, as well! Perfect evening!
Chic, Beautiful Art Deco Dining with food that will make you mouth smile. Since remodeling the dining room and completely rebuilding the kitchen the Spirit Room has become of of the absolute best dining experiences in a city filled with great places to eat. Located in the historic Copper Queen Hotel, the menu is classic with it's own twists on the available dishes. Something for everyone here with flavors that are sure to please.
Happy to have a vegan option. Yay vegan option available! Food was good...stuffed mushroom with a ton of veggies! Service was good as well.
This place is fantastic. Ambience is really nice and comfy. Service was also great. But the food, oh the food. Let's just say we care back two nights in a row. The jambalaya was perfect on a cold rainy day and the tomahawk rib eye steak is out of this world good. They bring it out still sizzling on a salt slab topped with compound butter. The flavors were intense and mouthwatering. We will definitely be back anytime we come back to Bisbee. Who knows maybe you'll also get to see a ghosty!
I can't speak to the hotel part of this establishment except to say that the front desk staff were super friendly and the rooms and the pool sure look pretty cool. I can say they make an amazing breakfast served on the front porch. Done of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The OJ was fresh and the sausage and bacon were great also. Friendly and efficient service and an a nice historic feel to the whole place. I'm looking forward to returning and exploring a little more. I'd for sure have breakfast again here.
Old World Interesting. Old Hotel with good updates. comfortable room and updated bath. Noted for 3 resident ghosts. However, I actually had a "ghostly" experience not well known. WOW! Ate in the bar, same menu as dining room (not open that nite) Really good! Would definitely eat and stay there again.
We came for the live music. Locals told us that on Wednesday nights the bar features live music; more like a jam session with what is obviously a group of musicians that love to play together. At the time, it was Los Amigos. Pleasant and fun. Folks stepped in to play a tune, then stepped back for someone else to play. Mandolin, drums, sax, flute, bass, vocals... long list. The best part, the music starts at 7, which is reasonable for this kid who is over 60. Be sure to toss something in the tip bucket.
Fantastic bartender with great stories. We didn't stay at the hotel but did have an opportunity to tour the grounds, lobby, a guest room and dining area while visiting the bar and it was very charming. The bar is what brought us in and we were not disappointed! On a Tuesday night we never expected the bar to be at capacity, but it was overflowing. There was an old cowboy playing his guitar and singing classic country tunes. Food service from the bar menu was tasty and plentiful (be sure to try the wings and Black & Blue burger as they are incredible). What made the visit was the bartender, Chris. He was very friendly and full of great stories of all the celebrities that have visited Bisbee over the last few decades. It is great to hear about the hidden secrets that brought them to this out of the way vacation spot when escaping the pressures of Hollywood. If you are in the area, take the time to stop by and have a cold drink and snack/meal. Don't forget to ask for Chris, he will make the trip for you!
We had attempted to dine at the Table but that was a disaster and we are very happy that it was because across the street is the best place we ate at in Bisbee. The dining room is straight out of the early 1900's. It had the Hollywood tower hotel theme from California Adventure before they changed it to Guardians of the Galaxy. We were immediately met by a waiter who was awesome. The food was excellent and we will be eating there again the next time we are in Bisbee. We had a late lunch and our entrees where the Grazziano sandwich, Steak sandwich, Queen Burger, Margarita pizza, and the bacon chile. All were excellent!!!
Historic old saloon located inside the old historic Copper Queen Hotel. You can get a drink as well as eat a meal should you choose if the main restaurant is full and there is a wait. They use the same menu and the service is very good.
Fun little bar. Tight inside when live music begins but make for fun night talking with others at the bar. Bar tender was hilarious with his jokes and very friendly. A bartender you'd want at every bar. Drinks were strong pours so you get a good drink. Food was great, had a few appetizers. Listened to music and chatted with locals. Would give five stars but we were packed in once music started, and was a little uncomfortable, but before that all was ok
The saloon is nice, but the band they have tonight is completely phenomenal!!!!! Loved this visit, it was a great date night with my girl!
